Groundworks/earthworks

Groundworks refers to the work carried out to prepare the ground and below ground to enable the start of a construction project, or the optimalization of a current irrigation system.  In short, Groundworks is the first set of activities involved on a construction site that led to the foundations being laid.  Groundworks (optimalization) are only being done if there is a need to do so.
